Tuna with avocado sauce
Tuna with Vegetables
Baked Tuna Fillet

 

 

TUNA WITH AVOCADO SAUCE

8 servings 

Ingredients:

  • 8 +/- 5-7 oz. (+/- 140 a 200 gr.) of Gourmar yellow fin Tuna fillets 
  • 1/3 cup of soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon peel
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Avocado Sauce 
Directions:

Place the Tuna in a Pyrex dish.

Mix the soya sauce with lemon peel, lemon juice, garlic, mustard and olive oil. Pour over the fish. Cover and let marinate for 3 hours, turning over twice.

Remove the fish from the marinate and discard the marinate, bake the Tuna and serve with the avocado sauce.

Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side at medium heat, and be careful no to overcook it.















 

TUNA WITH VEGETABLES

4 servings
Ingredients:
  • 4 +/- 5-7 oz. (140 gr. a 200 gr) slices of Gourmars yellow fin Tuna  
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 2 medium sizes onions
  • 1/2 Garlic head
  • salt 
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • 3 bay leaves
  • oil
Directions:  

Place the Tuna on baking dish and Sprinkle with salt, add the green peppers with no seeds and cut in fine strips, peeled and fine chopped garlic and finely sliced carrot. For these cuts you may use the mandolin.

Add bay leaves, white wine, 1/2 cup of olive oil and 1/2 cup of water.

Place baking dish in the oven in medium heat for 20-30 minutes, turning the Tuna slices. Do not overcook.

Serve very hot.

 

 

BAKED TUNA FILLET

4 servings
Ingredients:
  • 1 +/- 1-3 pounds (454 gr. A 1300 gr. ) of Gourmars yellow fin Tuna fillet
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed parsley
  • 1 bay leave
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 twig of thyme
  • juice from 1 lemon
Directions:

Place the oil in a big bowl, woth the lemon juice, onion cut in rings, ketchup, the whole garlic, parsley, thyme, bay leave, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and place the Tuna in mixture. Leave the fish in the marinate for 1 hour, turning the pieces once in a while.

After this time, drain, place in a Pyrex and spinkle with 5 to 6 tablespoons of strained marinate juice. Bake at medium heat for approximately 20-30 minutes. Serve hot accompanied with mashed potatoes or glazed vegetables.
